A hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler stays in place for an average of 9 to 12 months. The body will break down the filler very gradually. Thus, treatment with dermal fillers is not permanent.
There is a specific dermal filler for each facial treatment. There are different compositions and thicknesses of hyaluronic acid fillers.
