The term “salmon sperm” is sometimes used in the media or on social media as a simplified or attention-grabbing description. Historically, polynucleotides were extracted from salmon sperm because it contains a very high concentration of DNA and is relatively easy to isolate.
Today, manufacturers use various sources of salmon tissue from which DNA can be extracted. The DNA is then highly purified and processed into polynucleotides, so that only the active DNA fragments remain. The final product therefore consists of highly purified polynucleotides derived from salmon DNA and no longer contains sperm cells or biological tissue.

The treatment is often used for:
First, the skin is numbed with an anesthetic cream. Next, the polynucleotides are injected superficially into the skin using small injections. These stimulate the skin’s natural healing process and improve its quality from within.
There are generally two treatment areas: full face (cheeks, around the mouth, and forehead) or around the eyes. Of course, both treatment areas can be combined.
The first improvements in skin quality and radiance usually become visible after 2 to 4 weeks, after which the skin continues to improve. For optimal results, we recommend 3 treatments with approximately 3 weeks between each session. After that, an annual maintenance treatment is recommended.
After the treatment, small bumps may be visible on the skin for 1–3 days. You may also experience mild redness and/or swelling during this time. This is completely normal and will go away on its own.
