Botox, or botulinum toxin, are neuromodulators that temporarily relax the muscles being treated. This happens because at the cellular level, the transition from nerve to muscle is blocked. Thus, the muscle temporarily receives no signal to contract. The skin lies over the facial muscles like a blanket. When these muscles can no longer contract, it also cannot create a wrinkle in the skin. So in addition to being able to fade existing wrinkles, it also works preventively. This is especially beneficial if you are between the ages of 20 and 30, and want to prevent wrinkles later in life.

Botulinum toxin is considered very safe worldwide. Indeed, it has been used in medicine for various medical purposes since the 1970s. Clinical and scientific research have demonstrated the safety of botox for many years. Nevertheless, it is important to have muscle relaxant treatment performed at a professional clinic with experienced doctors. If the treatment is not performed skillfully, the wrong facial muscles may be hit, causing unwanted effects. It is also possible that people are hypersensitive to (one of the ingredients) of botox. It is important that in such cases a doctor can act appropriately and medically.

After treatment, mild swelling and redness around the injection site may be present. In a few cases, there may be a small bruise.

Side effects from botox are rare. Sometimes people may experience a temporary headache about a week after treatment. In certain areas, such as the forehead, a tight feeling may be experienced in the first two weeks. Also, certain areas may experience some fluid collection around the eyes in the first few weeks. This is often when your body has to get used to the effect of the botulinum toxin. These side effects often disappear on their own.

If the botox was not injected properly, or the aftercare recommendations were not followed properly, the muscle relaxants may act on an unintended muscle. Rare side effects, such as a drooping brow or eyelid, may then occur. At a professional clinic with extensive experience, these side effects almost never occur.

In the most extreme case, there is hypersensitivity or allergy to a component of the botox. This may manifest as excessive swelling or redness of the skin. In this case, the doctor may need to prescribe anti-allergic medication.

These A-brands have been on the market for years and have good experience. A unique feature of both brands is their rapid duration of action. Where other muscle relaxant types take ten to fourteen days to work, the Azzalure often starts working after only five days and the Alluzience even after 24 hours.

After treatment, it is important to make sure that the muscle relaxants cannot move. For this purpose, it is important not to lie flat for the first six hours. You should also not rub or push into the treated joint.

For the first two days you should not exercise or lift heavy things. Also, visiting the sauna, spa or swimming pool is not recommended. This will stimulate blood circulation to the skin, allowing the botox to drain away.

A treatment works for an average of three to four months. When the effect of the botox wears off, it is recommended to repeat the treatment. This way you can maintain the result well and you do not have to keep starting from scratch. If the botox treatment is repeated regularly in the beginning, the time frame becomes longer and longer. For example, it is then often no longer necessary every three to four months, but sometimes only after six to seven months.
